INGREDIENTS
- 2 Tbsp neutral cooking oil (like Vegetable oil)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 5 Tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 Tbsp smooth peanut butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp sambal chile paste
Equipment:
- Small saucepan
- Heat pan on medium heat, then add oil and garlic. Saute until lightly browned.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix.
- Turn the heat up to medium high and bring to boil
- Once it hits a boil, immediately shut off the heat and add the sambal chile paste. The sauce will thicken a lot as it cools.
It can be refrigerated for 5-7 days.
- Drain one or both cans of tomatoes (depends how long you will cook the liquids off). Empty both cans into the food processor. Process/blend the tomatoes on low for 10 seconds to 1 minute, depending on how chunky or smooth you want it.
